- Do you celebrate your adoption day on the day you received your referral or the day you met your child or the day you took custody of them?
- What do you call this day in your house? Adoption Day? Gotcha Day?

We're planning celebrating our day on the day we meet Ashen. Maybe we'll call it Family Day or maybe we'll come up with something cooler. I'm interested in seeing what others say. I just read an article about this a few minutes ago in Adoptive Families magazine. I also remember an old thread on the forum about this.
We plan to celebrate the day Mia was placed in my arms-July 3rd 2006.
We called it Gotcha then- We are going to celebrate it as her "adoption" day now.
We celebrate the day we went to court, July 25. Last year, our 1st Gotcha day we went to the zoo and had a great time!
