There was an interesting article in Sunday's Boston Globe regarding black hair and the politics surrounding it.
As a soon-to-be mother of an Ethiopian daughter, I found this article especially interesting and eye opening.

Thanks for the link! My mom and I are still stuck on how to handle my sister Sasha's hair when it grows out. We wish we could make it easy and keep it short!
