The good news is......

We've been sleeping through the night fairly consistently!!!

The bad news....

It is like an ocean in her crib in the morning! Yuck!

Suggestions?

That's so funny - Micah leaked through for the first time this morning. Kevin said, "Look - his butt must have been sweating." Yes, he was totally serious. Silly daddy.

only thing that worked for me was laying a thick blanket on top of the sheet so it's less work with the leak throught. kinda sucks for that morning cuddle though :-(

At that age we were using Huggies and they weren't working (always leaked) so we switched to Pampers which worked perfectly. Then later we switched back (Pampers has a strange smell to me). Good luck!

p.s.-my husband owns an independent movie theater and so he is obviously a movie nerd-especially horror movies and is soooooooo jealous of Nora's Evil Dead Cup!

Double diapers, or liners. We used cloth diapers and found cloth liners that did help absorb the excess. Plus nighttime plastic pants, PLUS a cloth-lined rubber mat that protected the crib.

YAY on sleeping through the night.

Thanks for the advice! We have an "Ultimate Crib Sheet" which is fantastic but does nothing to prevent up to the neck wetness! I am going to pick up some liners AND plastic pants this weekend :)

Hi! I found your blog searching for Ethiopian adoptions/adoption blogs. Congratulations! Nora is beautiful!

I have had the same issue with my baby boy at night. He would wake up soaked - sleeper, blankets, sheets, etc! My mom found some diapers called Overnights made by Huggies (I believe). They are a bit pricey but if you only use 1 or 2 a night, they last a month or so. I get Lucas' at Wal-Mart but I have seen them at Babies R Us too.

Take care,
Gina, Mommy to Lucas
