I'm sorry to say but there will be no more anonymous postings on my blog.
I apologize to all of my friends (Donna, Zooms, you know who you are!) who choose to post anonymously so as not to have to register with Blogspot.
There have been people out there in cyberspace who choose to make judgments about my family & our choices as parents, but who do so hiding behind their anonymity... You know who I am, so I may as well know who is commenting on my blog.
Fair is fair.

UGH! People!
yuck. I cannot believe the gall of some people who feel it is their right to comment on other people whom they know nothing about and then hide behind the false bravado of the internet.
May I just say that all of your dogs are lovely, and the relationship between children and their dogs is amazing to behold.
Hey Katie, Ryan, Nora & of course THE PUPS!!
Katie, I hate to "lurk" on your blog... Unlike the anonymous blogger however, I'm not ashamed to tell you that I am Karyn and I am a "Pit Bull" guardian, lover and rescuer!! And I absolutely loved your replies to mrs/mr. anonymous from Canada.
My husband & I considering Ethopia and somehow I stumbled on your blog a few weeks ago. Congratulations on your beautiful daughter, your beautiful family and your awesome dogs!
THANK YOU for standing up for this breed, for your beliefs and for your awesome parenting skills. Thank you also for passing along the PBRC site, although I doubt that particular blogger will ever actually take the time to look at it or do any type of research.
Anyway, I just wanted to send you a little encouragement. Please do continue posting pictures of Nora & the dogs. This type of positive publicity will benefit everyone!
Best wishes to your entire family..furkids included!

I hate to watch the tragedy unfold that is the anonymous Canadian blogger's ignorance!! S/he states that she lives in an area where pit bulls are banned so I can only presume that she has no firsthand knowledge of "pit bulls" ... perhaps s/he can start here?

love the dogs....how on earth did you get them to sit still at the same time and look so innocent and sweet...(ok I am biased....I love dogs......your dogs are just too cute!
people are lame!
Your puppers are too stinkin cute though :)
I asked the question ..How did you get them to sit still and look so innocent and sweet ....because our dogs will sit for a minute and just when you think you have the perfect picture they start jumping and playing.....we say they need the dog whisperer....ha ha..anyway once again I love your pictures ...dogs included ..have a great day!
Oh my gosh. I'm sorry! I just thought to throw this little guy in for good measure too...

EDUCATION IS THE KEY TO INTELLIGENT DANGEROUS DOG LEGISLATION!! Breed Specific Legislation is ridiculous and circumvents the real problem! All breeds have their bad eggs...just ask the Golden Retriever that -- without warning -- bit clean through my right thumb and left it dangling in two separate halves when I restrained it for a simple vaccine one day at the animal hospital.
OK I'm really done now. Mahoney, feel free to edit these. Sorry so many comments! I just can't stop myself!!

I am sorry they got you too. :(
Carrie (who think you do good work Mama and supports sending "Anonymous" into a timeout)
Thanks everyone!!!
You guys rock!!
I was almost going to delete my response to "The Comment" because I thought, for a second, that I went a little over-board but the more I thought about it...the angrier I became. I know that the internet is a public place but I felt personally attacked as a mother. How dare someone accuse me of putting my child in danger! I would NEVER do anything that I thought would harm my child and if any of our dogs (present & future/pit bull or NOT) EVER showed any aggression toward my child, that problem would be dealt with immediately. My husband trains dogs and specializes in "problem" dogs for goodness sakes!
Anyways, enough of my rambling-THANKS for the support!!!
Shelly-
This photo was actually 1 of like 4! In each other one someone was looking the other way!
They are pretty good if I place them somewhere and tell them to sit, I think they finally thought the camera was a treat and they were waiting oh-so-patiently for a taste!
Wow, Katie - I don't check your blog for two days and look what happens! Sorry you had to deal with offensive anonymous comments, but keep posting. Chris and I love to read your blog.
I'm sorry that you have some one SOOO ignorant reading/commenting on your blog. (I actually thought it was a joke). I feel sorry for people who live a sheltered life and the only thing that they seem to do is read about other peoples lives. A dog is a dog is a dog. They may have certain traits we love, but in the end, they are who we let them be. I will always have pitbulls (am. staffs, amer. bull dogs, APBT...) ALWAYS. Especially if I have a child. What better dog to have to play with? I couldn't image my life with out these wonderful breeds. Sorry about the rambling. Stupid people make me angery.
